What you Learn you can Quickly Apply to your Projects

All of our courses have a high proportion of practical content, with non-trivial case studies which provide genuine challenges. At the same time we also encourage the course attendees to bring their own project experience into the mix, thus providing a dynamic and productive learning environment. Where appropriate a single case study will be used as the backbone of the entire course and this case study will have been designed to allow delegates to learn at a steady and progressive rate and apply all they have learned to the project. We find that this approach, along with our ongoing after course support, gives the attendees a far deeper understanding of the subject matter and allows them to readily apply what they have learnt to their real world projects.

The presentation of the course material involves a range of training techniques to suit all learning styles and includes slide shows, facilitated work groups and open informal workshops.

Should the customer wish us to do so, as soon as the booking has been confirmed, we will provide course material prior to the running of the course, thereby giving the delegates the opportunity to read up on the subject so that when they attend the course, they will already have had an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the subject and prepare advanced questions.

In presenting our training courses, we strive to form lasting professional relationships with the delegates who have attended the courses. This enables us to provide informal email support for training or technical questions before and after the course event. It also means that the course event itself, although sufficient to get the delegates launched into their projects, can be made even more effective by email based technical support.

Where appropriate and with the agreement of the customer, we can feed their project based technical issues into the running of on-site and sometimes even public courses and for all on-site training, our trainers will readily adapt themselves to working within the software environment of the customer.

Training is Expensive

Training courses are expensive in both course fees and working time lost to attend the course. This is particularly acute for contractors and the self employed. However, a well pitched and appropriate course can quickly recoup the time and money that has been invested in it.

At Ariadne Training, we strive to help you see the financial benefits of your investment as quickly as possible. All of our courses can be arranged for when you need them and we offer a public course discount for bookings of 2 or more people from any one company; however we also run a programme of pre-arranged public courses as listed below.

Weekend Courses

As well as offering discounts to two or more people attending a single course, all of our courses can be arranged to be run on weekends, thus saving attendees from losing valuables days at work. We will soon be setting up a weekend schedule of public courses, but in the meantime, should you have any specific requirements, please contact Laura Rinaldi, our course coordinator, on 0800 458 3880 or 0791 307 1204 and she will be delighted to discuss your needs.

Our Pledge to our Course Attendees

Our trainers will provide complimentary technical and project support to all former course attendees by email on an informal basis, should they require it.

Why do we do this?

  • By providing technical project support, our trainers are able to help course attendees bridge the gap between learning UML on a training course and actually applying it to a real world project, thus making the training considerably more effective.
  • Working with as great a diversity of projects as possible provides our trainers with the keenest possible insight into the issues and challenges currently affecting the success of projects.
  • It makes good commercial sense for our trainers to maintain a strong professional relationship with former course attendess.
